These evenings provide members the opportunity to meet fellow alumni over drinks, converse with artists about their work, and navigate the city's arts scene. Previous special guests include Academy Award winners Michael Douglas and Milos Forman, Grammy Award winners Paquito D'Rivera and Wynton Marsalis, Tony Award-winning actor Brian Dennehy (CC '60), Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence Wright, and the cast of Cirque du Soleil's Wintuk! CAAL Night: Chelsea Art Crawl with Artlog

On Thursday, July 14, CAAL members and their guests enjoyed special after-hours access to the galleries and artists of the dynamic art scene thriving in Chelsea while enjoying curated tours and other events.  CAAL members began the evening with a reception at 1500 Gallery with a special talk by gallery director Andrew S. Klug '09BUS, and ended the day in the company of fellow art enthusiasts at the Artlog after-party. 

Chelsea Art Crawl 2011 brings together Artlog and the Brooklyn Museum who have teamed up with with the Appraisers Association of America and the Chelsea Art Museum to provide special access to over a dozen of Chelsea’s top contemporary galleries and non profits, including The Kitchen, Aperture Foundation and The FLAG Art Foundation.
