The Rema Hort Mann Foundation recently awarded Columbia University School of the Arts, Visual Arts alumni Adama Delphine Fawundu '18SOA, Dana Lok '15SOA, Ektor Garcia '16SOA, José Delgado Zúñiga '17SOA, and Sara Stern '17SOA the 2018 Emerging Artist Grant in New York.

The grantees will each receive an unrestricted grant of $10,000. According to the Foundation, grantees were selected for “demonstrating critical and rigorous work in the field of contemporary art as well as an ability and commitment to making substantial contributions to the arts in the future.”

100 distinguished artists were invited to apply for the grant based on a closed-call nomination process by 50 New York City based arts professionals. An independent jury then chose the final recipients based on a competitive selection process.

Past Emerging Artist Grantees include alumni Korakrit Arunanondchai '12SOA and Dana Schutz '02SOA.
