Career Opportunity for Vice President, Development at NYC Museum

The Vice President of Development at a museum in NYC, which reports to the President, will head development efforts at the museum. The position is responsible for strategy and execution of fundraising initiatives with an annual goal of approximately $2 million. The VP will lead a team of 5. Candidates must have a demonstrated leadership background and approximately 10 years of fundraising experience, including individual, institutional and events-based initiatives, with a strong knowledge of the NYC landscape. Experience cultivating trustees and board members is required.

The Woman Illusion is a playful, wicked gallery of ways to be a woman. Our small cast uses the magic of theatre, and sleight-of-hand art by Magic Castle magician Jackson "Jax" Ridd to unravel spellbinding everyday acts of femininity from the podium to the bedroom. The result is revolution.

Performing Arts Program Officer

The Performing Arts Program Officer at Japan Society is primarily responsible for various aspects of Performing Arts (PA) program’s promotion and outreach in order to maximize impact of PA’s events; assisting the Artistic Director in preparing English-language marketing and fundraising materials; and coordinating and implementing educational/ancillary activities as well as special events. The Program Officer is also responsible for assisting the Artistic Director in organizing tours and working with co-presenters. Other duties include general administrative duties including management of interns and volunteer ushers, and handling public and professional inquiries.

Corkscrew Theater Festival

Columbia alumni Thomas Kapusta (CC '12), Alexander Donnelly (CC '13), and Alex Hare (CC'13) have created a brand-new theater festival aimed at supporting young artists making new work through innovative collaborative models. The festival runs August 7-September 3 at the Paradise Factory theater on the Lower East Side (64 E 4th St). Five world premiere productions and five works-in-progress readings. The staff and creative artists also feature many Columbia and Barnard alumni.

Documentary Film Releases Directed by Christopher Perkel '98CC

Two documentaries will be released this September, Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives, which was the Opening Night film at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, will be released by Apple Music and in select theaters. Foreman, a biography of legendary boxer and pitchman George Foreman will be on Epix and released theatrically by Universal International. Check them out! ;)
