Italian Academy Fellowships in Architectural History and Preservation

The Academy is pleased to announce the establishment of the Weinberg Fellowships in architectural history and preservation. Two to four Fellowships will be awarded each year and will run concurrently with the Academy’s other residential fellowships.

Applications are encouraged from all countries; candidates must be at the post-doctoral or faculty level.

Call for Art: FIGMENT NYC 2017

FIGMENT NYC 2017 is a two-day free participatory arts event held on Governors Island. FIGMENT showcases interactive works of all mediums that encourage participants to play, dance, sing, create, engage, experiment, and explore their environment. Submissions are now open for artists of all ages and experience. The deadline for submissions is April 22, 2017.

Discounted Tix to Symphony Space Concert

Takemi Ueno (GSAS '90) is a cellist in the New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, which will play Beethoven's Coriolan Overture, Ibert's Flute Concerto, and Brahms' Symphony No. 2 on Fri., Feb. 10, at 8 PM. Tix for students, seniors, and Symphony Space members are $18. If you are none of the above, you can get tix for $20 instead of the usual $25 (1) by going to http://www.nasorch.org/tickets/advance_sale.php by 4 PM on Feb. 8 or (2) with the code NASOFAMILY at Symphony Space's box office (Broadway & 95th St.).

Summer Labs Residency at National Sawdust

After a successful August Labs inaugural season in 2016, National Sawdust is pleased to extend the residency period and rename our residency SUMMER LABS. We are looking for local New York based artists that focus on music based works including dance, multimedia and theatrical project, who need space to develop their project and who can commit to a showcase performance of at least 15 minutes of work for a public audience.
