Erica Abeel Reviews Film "Diane" - Heroine of a Different Stripe on The Arts Fuse

Erica Abeel is a novelist, film and cultural critic, and former professor at CUNY.  Her ties to Columbia are extensive.  She received her Ph.D "with distinction" in French literature at the Graduate School (1967), and went on to teach at Barnard, Columbia College, and School of General Studies. Her recent novel Wild Girls, about three women rebels of the 50s, was an Oprah Magazine pick for January 2017.  Her journalism has appeared in the New York Times, Indiewire, and other major sites and national publications.  A former dancer, when not writing, she's in a Pilates class or at the barre.
