Karina Junker - Actress & Voice Artist
Reign Agency (Los Angeles), Page.713 Model & Talent Agency (World)
1535 West Loop South, Suite 110
Houston, TX 77027

"Highway Records proudly presents its first split EP, epic release by Italian talent Francys (Time Has Changed, Resopal, Composite) and respected Russian producer Andrey Burtaev, mostly known under his Electrosoul System alias. “Crossing The White Line” and “Don’t So No” are 2 brilliant house tracks — deep, dark and twisted.

Remixes are made by famous German artists, chart breakers and deep house men of the moment — 8Bit and Katchuli Records owner Gorge, Chris Lattner (Moon Harbour, Kling Klong, NRK, Tsuba, Baalsaal) and vocal artist Karina Junker '06TC (Highway Records, Polar Records)."

Artist's Bio:
Karina Junker | TC class of 2006

Karina Junker made her television commercial debut at the age of 23 in the Dominican Republic and has been steadily honing her skills ever since, landing roles in an array of film, television, theater, voice, music video and commercial print projects.

Born on May 3, 1980, Junker was raised both in Mexico and the United States. At the age of 18, Junker attended Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and completed her studies at InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico where she majored in Psychology in 2002. After graduation, she studied at Columbia University in New York City and received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the age of 25.

In March 2009, she signed with Page.713 Model and Talent Agency in Houston, the largest and most influential agency in Southern United States. In September 2011, she signed with Reign Agency in Santa Monica, California. Reign's Founder, Laura Soo Hoo, was awarded the "Adult Commercial Talent Agent of the Year" at the 2006 Seymour Heller Awards Presentation in Los Angeles.

She made her screen debut in her starring role as 'Stefana', a role that was written specifically for her, in the independent short "The Key of D" directed by Judy Garlow in 2010. Additional feature credits in 2011 include director Michael Colburn's "The Toy Box" as 'Stacy'; director Natasha Fissiak's short film "Dissonance" as 'Marina'; and director Mike Pena's short film "El Secreto de Emiliana" as 'Mariana'. Junker made her stage debut in 2010 in Eve Ensler's "Los Monologos de la Vagina".

Junker's past training in acting was alongside veteran actor Deke Anderson, who stars in the film "Green Lantern" directed by Martin Campbell, and was a regular in the famed daytime soap opera "Days of Our Lives"; talent agent Robert Hass from Innovative Artists Agency; casting director Ricki G. Maslar whose feature credits include the film "The Exodus of Charlie Wright" directed by R. Ellis Frazier; and veteran actor Kris Kyer who was the on-set coach for Bruce Willis' feature film "Hostage".

In 2011, Junker began another venture when she collaborated by doing the vocals ("Don't So No" on Highway Records and "Lotus" on Polar Records) for German DJ/Producer Chris Lattner, who is on the roster of impressive record labels in Europe such as Moon Harbour Recordings, Fear Of Flying, NRK, and Einmaleins Musik. She also collaborated live in Berlin ("No Mercy") with DJ/Producer Namito, owner of Greenhorn Records and Producer Tigerskin whose work has been with Suruba. In 2012, German duo Kruse and Nuernberg, who has caught the attention of some of todays most important underground labels such as NRK Music, Liebe*Detail, Plastic City, King Street, Lazy Days and Kolour Recordings just to name a few, invited Junker to join them on one of their latest projects ("Home By Six").

In addition to her dedication to the performing arts, she is involved in many organizations and is an avid runner. She is a UNICEF U.S. Volunteer, United Nations Volunteer and Columbia Alumni Member. In 2011, she ran the Chevron Houston Marathon, Rock N' Roll Seattle Marathon and the BMW Frankfurt Marathon. This charming and diversified actor lives tri-coastally, splitting her life between Los Angeles, Houston and Mexico.
